ODM, Deya, Njoki Ndungu

So the much hyped ODM gig in the UK was arranged by amongst others Pastor Deya??? I mean I don't want to sound shocked, but are you kidding me?! Perhaps they seek a miracle vote. Say if they could get Pastor Deya to produce votes in their favors at the same percentage rate he gets women to deliver children, they would definitely win the elections. Someone please tell me why our presidential hopefuls are dining with some Kenya's Most wanted strange behaving people??? Is this a reflection on the Kenyans in the UK?

I did like the reasons given from some of the hopefuls who backed out, citing the mistrust this has caused amongst kenyans. But not a single mention of the relationship with pastor Deya. A man who amongst other things, has been rumored to be abducting children. Is this waht they call winning at all costs? Anyone with the money becomes a friend? This bothers me at such a high level I'm actually going to walk away from it all at this point. I don't need any further disappointment from Kenyan leaders!

And kudos to Njoki Ndung'u on being nominated for the US secretary of state's courageous women award. Well deserved. Sexual offenses needed to be highlighted and laws enacted in Kenya. There's more to do here but she definitely deserves to win this award for her contribution. Hopefully an added effect will be to motivate MPs to recognize areas within the country that could get them noticed as having made a difference, and embark on making meaningful changes.

Scooter Libby - guilty. Should he be pardoned? Arguable. Is he a scapegoat? Definitely! And why are these people downplaying leaking a CIAs identity. That in the real sense is conspiracy to commit murder. I don't think anyone should act like it's not a big deal. It is. But who wants to be a millionaire in the US and dares to attack Cheney? I didn't think there would be any takers!

And this other lady shocked me quite a bit with her outburst. Asking about having spouses or friends outside the house and not neeeding the advances from elected colleagues. I guess it has truly become a free country.

Great college basketball weekend ahead. Enjoy! GO JAYHAWKS!!!

It would be disgraceful for the Administration to pardon Scooter Libby before he does a significant stint in a federal prison cell. He lied under oath rather than out his 'friends'....Clinton did the same thing & got impeached. High ranking officials need to be held accountable for their actions, otherwise the Justice system is HIGHLY undermined.

  2. Bush & Cheney owe Libby a pardon. He shouldn't go to prison for a crime that clearly was to protect higher authority. I am not saying he is innocent but as long as Cheney is free then libby shouldn't be in prison either.

on college basketball, I am too excited the tona starts next thursday, its Spartans all the way!

It appears that the media are following Kikuyus everywere. Even if a Kikuyu gets appointed to the position of Director of Public Toilets, they will criticise it as further evidence of tribalism. It is as if Kikuyus are not Kenyans.

Kibaki’s government is far from Kenyatta as those who were there will attest. It is also radically different from Moi’s. I was surprised to find that some of the leading institutions are not being run by Kikuyus, given all the reports about Kikuyu domination. NSSF, Kenya Airways, Defence, Police, Kenya Ports Authority, University of Nairobi, Kenya Polytechnic, Public Prosecutions, Kenya Wildlife Serivice, KARI, TSC, etc.

The appointment of Prof. Ndun’gu has been used to show that non-Kikuyus have been sidelined and have not been appointed to any important position in the government and its institutions. Nothing could be further from the truth as the list below shows clearly.

Note: the so called GEMA people are not included and not all the parastals, directorates and departments are represented here. Also not included are lots and lots of Chairmen appointed by the President.

This is what Odero and other ODM-Kenya diehards would not have us see. The name of the game is trying to win votes using fear and disinformation, apparently the focus of the campaign being illeterate Kenyans. Kenyans are in dire need of a party that has a roadmap for building Kenya and uplifting it’s citizens. Unfortunately both Narc and ODM lack in these aspects.
The furture does indeed seem bleak

One wonders why an aspiring political party needs diaspora Kenyans who perhaps are better off than the people who really need the attention of their leaders.

Why would one person spend all year round touring USA and Europe instead of busying himself by holding town meeting in his constituency and identify areas which he needs to focus on and better his folks.
    Talk is cheap!

  5. My comments on this may be late but damn skippy Irena, Talk is too damn cheap!

Well, Scooter Libby folks, he got forgotten under Gonzalez. You know crimes like those of Gonzales are just astronomical. You're the highest ranking latino in a country that fiercely hates latinos at the moment and then you do what? Que Senor? Que?

That list of Non Gemas heading state corporations etc is just a fad...half of those guys have been kicked out of office under mysterious circumstances to make room for the GEMAs...can somebody verify this data!! I know for one the current LBDA Managing Director is not the same one listed there!!

you clearly do not know what you are talking about a lot of the data you have presented hear is wrong everedy is not a parastatal. it was a privately held company befor listing on the nse. why do you also chose to mention the deputy govener of the centarl bank and leave out the governor.is it selctiv eamnesia. in any case this can be debated endlesly, what matters is the perception that kenyans hold and the perception is that this goverment has not been fair to other communities.
